I am really looking forward to doing more bracket racing and some Top Dragster races in this area. Andy, my son, will do a lot of the "Project 4-Link" driving and I am slowly turning into the "main flunkie". I won't quit driving altogether but I definitely will run fewer races with the dragster as I am having a ball running in the No Box class with the "Back-2-Basics" Vega.

Doing this "hurt" a little bit. I hated to grind off perfect powder coating to upgrade the roll cage for the "required helmet bars," but such are the rules. Hopefully we can blend the paint in so it isn't too noticeable.

Stay tuned for a very detailed article next month as we try to squeeze 950 HP out of a 572" Mopar. If you like a lot of engine detail then this will be an article you will a get kick out of. If Jeff lets me do it, most of the article will be pictures and captions of the entire engine assembly at Jay Roeder's - Roeder's Performance and Machine.

This is what can happen with "emergency repairs" at the track. Far too many splices and temporary repairs that I let slide by. They haven't been a problem but they could be so a little work now and some weather tight connectors will solve this potential problem.

Check the expiration dates on your safety harness, flex-plate and trans shields. Now is the time to get them ordered if you need them. Hope you have a great January and are looking forward to Daytona Speed Weeks next month. Finally, live race engines and competition.
