DRO CUP POINTS PROGRAM
OK gang, we are going to keep this simple. The following will be the
criteria for accumulating points for the DRO Cup, the unofficial World
Championship for drivers competing in the AMS Staff Leasing Pro Mod
Challenge.
QUALIFYING POINTS:
Number 1 Qualifier: 8 points
Number 2 Qualifier: 7 points
Number 3 Qualifier: 6 points
Number 4 Qualifier: 5 points
Number 5 Qualifier: 4 points
Number 6 Qualifier: 3 points
Number 7 Qualifier: 2 points
Number 8 Qualifier: 1 point
In case of a disqualification, after qualifying everyone will move
up and the alternate will get one point.
In case a car cannot race on Sunday due to engine damage, crash or
the like, the alternate will get no points.
RACE DAY POINTS:
Win: 400 points
Runner-up: 300 points
2nd round loser: 200 points
1st round loser: 100 points
100 points for setting E.T. Record
100 points for setting Speed Record
Records will be set in standard manner and will require one percent
backup pass!
The current speed and elapsed time records will be 6.267 and 227.80
set by Mitch Stott at Gainesville. He did back up these numbers at Gainesville.
