Question:
I have a '72 El Camino that I am putting a blown 496 BBC in that hopefully
will get the car into the uper to mid-nines. I am going to keep it a
small tire car and I am wondering if I should go with a modified stock
four-link suspension or just put a ladder bar suspension under it. If
I keep the stock type four-link, what should I do to get it to hook?
Thanks for your time.

Al:
I would install an adjustable ladder bar setup with coil overs and diagonal
link. It will give you better floor clearance, plus it is easier to
install and tune than a four-link. The ladder bar system will give you
plenty of bite.

Question:
I have an 1989 Mustang convertible that I race in Stock Eliminator (P/SA).
I have been wrestling with the question of whether to run lift bars
on the car or aftermarket lower OEM-style bars with stiffer bushings.
With a small block and 3610 lbs., it's efficiency that I am striving
for.
Earle Holte
Earle,
If the car has no wheel hop, I suggest putting OEM-style bars with urethane
bushings everywhere you can.
