We have a 1968 Firebird with a big block Chevy, Art Morrison sub frame, ladder bar suspension, gable shock 3-inch spring, and diagonal bar.

Our problem is that on the launch, the left front tire comes up twice as far as the right. Also, the right rear sags 3 inches more than the left. When we lift the car with a jack at the rear-end, the right tire lifts off the ground 3 inches before the left tire lifts.

We have suspended the body with jack stands, removed the shocks, taken the jack out from under the rear end and the right rear tire is 2-3 inches off the ground. The left tire is touching.

Something is bent somewhere in the car. In the following list are the most likely components that could cause this. If you do not find the bend using this list, keep looking because something is bent or twisted.

1. Check ladder bars to make sure they are not bent.
2. Check that ladder bar mount is not bent.
3. Check all heims in ladder bars.
4. Check and dyno your shocks.
5. Check the brackets on the housing
6. Check to make sure the housing itself has not twisted.
7. After it is all fixed, install a good torsion bar.
