Rick,

I have a four link Super Comp dragster that we have been trying to get to react. With the crankshaft at 0 degrees and the driveshaft angle from the front yoke at 1.5 degrees, should the pinion angle be at -3 degrees from the crankshaft centerline (-1.5 degrees from the driveshaft)?

If you can clarify my thinking on this, I would appreciate it.

Sincerely,
Dick Vander Meer

Dick,

The easiest way to check it is with a digital protractor because it takes out all confusion.

Set your driveshaft angle and then reset the protractor to 0 degrees using the alternate reference button. Set the protractor on the pinion yoke and set it -1.5 degrees (down). If the driveshaft is 0 degrees, then the pinion should be 1.5 degrees down.

Rick
