I have an '85 Mustang rear section car, mild steel, that needs an update. I just built a small block Chevy turbo motor for it. On its very first pass at half the boost it can make, I went 7.60 at 190 mph with a real bad 60-ft time of 1.3.
The car weighs 3250 lbs., so I think I should 25-1 or D the car before the summer. I just get so many different opinions on what is 25-1C and what is 25-1D. Could you help me with that? What would be the cost, what does it look like, and how long would something like this take?

Mike,
You really need to consider what you are
doing with the car you have. 7.60 at 190 mph
is too fast for a mild steel back-half car.
It would be very hard for me to quote exactly
what you need without seeing the car, but you
should definitely 25.1D this project. There
is very little difference between the 25.1C
and D, but the 25.1D is the latest spec and
is what should be used.
Take some very serious advice from me and
do not run this car again until it is looked
at by a qualified chassis shop. Drag racing
is supposed to be fun and safe - so make it
that way.
