FLAMES

This shot was taken at Phoenix a couple of years back. Wheels up and
flames is exactly why Fuel coupes are fan favorites. I think the cars
in this photo are Randy Anderson in the background and Dale Creasy.
A few years ago Billy Meyer put up some bleachers on the pit side of
the Texas Motorplex just before the lights. Great place to watch the
races, and especially fuel dragsters, under the lights.
Back in the late 90's when Darlington was still a stop on the IHRA
tour, East Coast racer Rit Pustari showed up in his Top Fuel fuel car.
When he hit the pedal that night he delivered some serious flames.
Fire in the pipes
Occasionally fuel cars deliver some really unique flames. That was
the case in this shot of Ron Capps in the Skoal car. Check out the sparkling
pieces of metal above and around the header flames in this shot.
