PLAIN AND SIMPLE

My opinion is team orders are cheating. I don’t care who does it, please let me know what you think.

TEAMS BAD FOR THE SPORT

Right on Jeff.  Multi-car Pro Teams will destroy the fan base for NHRA, thereby destroying NHRA.

How about a compromise proposal?  Limit Pro Teams to two cars. Period.  Not two cars in each Pro Class, but two cars. Period.
We predict a day is coming soon when we as fans and spectators WILL NOT see a full field of 16 Pro cars because of the dominance of the few multi-car owners.

Sad to see such a premier sport fall on its own sword trying to "be like" other sanctioning organizations.

BUT HOW TO ENFORCE IT?

No team orders? Good luck to NHRA trying to enforce this so-called "rule". The teams won't be as "upfront" about it... Case Closed! I see a Dim Bulb... It needs changing.

FULL OF SOUND AND FURY

Does Graham Light believe this will go further than his office door? It will be a shock to NHRA but they are not charge teams & proving anything will be just about impossible. Maybe Light is forgetting who is putting the money into drag racing after all.

JUST ASK THE IHRA

"...And, despite what the memo says, there is basically nothing that NHRA or anyone else can do to prevent it. Who’s going to make the call that the tuner brought the clutch in too soon or too late, or that the driver lifted a micro-second too soon?..."

Don't try and tell that to the IHRA honchos. In case you don't remember the story, back in 2002, the IHRA "erased" the Summit Super Series points leader. IF THEY COULD DO IT THEN, WHY COULDN'T THEY DO IT NOW?

And no, I don't know how in the world you prove diving, unless somebody steps up and actually admits to it. Didn't stop 'em in 2002, I haven't seen anything to suggest they couldn't pull the same stunt in 2007 or beyond. Take care.

KUDOS TO MELANIE AND MORGAN

I totally applaud Melanie Troxel and Morgan Lucas for going at it head to head. Even though, if she lost she would not make "the chase", they raced. She did lose at Reading, and I was there, and I have lots of respect for that lady.
