Turner on a Tear in 2016

Top Fuel Harley racer Jay “Bull Dog” Turner, of N.C. continues his winning ways this season by securing his second national event victory of the year. On Sunday April 3rd, Jay defeated Ricky House of Humboldt, Texas in the IHRA, Good Vibrations Texas Nationals for the event win. Jay, who won his third Championship at the end of 2015, with the IHRA, is on pace to nail down a fourth title in 2016, unless someone can get a leash on the Bull Dog, and soon!

Tracey Kile of Bad Apple Racing was the #1 qualifier of the eight entries at the race with a 6.54 elapsed time at 218mph. Ricky House qualified eighth with difficulties, but found his base line with a 6.68 over Tracey Kile in round one. He then improved to a 6.64 in E-2 when he defeated Jake Stordeur for a trip to the final round to face Turner.

Jay Turner commented after the race “It was a long day, but it worked out, it was a good race. We put on a good show for the fans with side-by-side passes. It feels good to get a win for the 2016 season.”
