To expand on that Ousley is looking at making a change to the new rules available for the Top Fuel runners this year.  He has ordered a B&J Racing Transmission two speed and is making the change to the points mag to comply with the new rules.

He is very confident that he will be able to make the car run as fast if not faster with the new combination. “ I see a great deal of promise in the new (taller and wider) tire and the B&J (two speed).”

Ousley does things his way and that is why last year he added a funny car into the company. “We will lift the motor out of the dragster and put it in the funny car without any changes except for the mag and fuel pump.”

Ousley will pursue the Mickey Thompson Tire DragRacingOnline.com AA/FC Challenge races because they make more financial sense to him. “ The DRO races are Friday-Saturday deals, I can leave the house usually early Friday morning get to the track, run the event, and be home either late Saturday night or Sunday some time.”

As for the dragster, they will go to Bowling Green for the NHRA race, skip Boise due to business considerations, and see where they are in the points race, to determine if they will go to Bakersfield for the Reunion.

No matter if the team makes the trip to Bakersfield or not, or wherever the “Crop Duster “dragster or funny car shows up, you can rest assured the racecar will be a contender and Frank Ousley and his team will do things their way.
