Competition Eliminator: Dean Carter (above), dragster, 7.195, 183.17 defeated David Rampy, Austin Bantam, 7.468, 163.77.

Rick Distefano brought his sharp-looking '53 Corvette down from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, but fouled out in the second round of Comp eliminator.

David Rampy was low qualifier at 7.393 and was runner-up in the final.

Super Stock: Larry Zavala, Oldsmobile Calais, 10.159, 130.49 defeated Kevin Nicks (photo below), Plymouth Barracuda, broke.
