low, low prices and great deals

Hi Mike:

I run a vehicle in NHRA Stock eliminator. My car is a Nova (J/SA) powered by a 350 engine and currently TH-350 transmission (2.75 low gear, manual valve body, aluminum direct drum). The buzz in "Stock" lately is the TH-200 transmission. I am considering building one of these transmissions.

Is there a way I can modify the pump/input so I can run my TH-350 converter on the TH-200 transmission? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Regards,
Bert

Bert:

Unfortunately, GM made the slotted converter neck for the TH-200 about 1/16-inch smaller than the "Turbo" TH-350 neck. You would need to machine the pump for the larger shaft and modify the smaller pump gear, as well as a custom input shaft.

The only other approach is to contact Scott McClay Engineering (21605 Brook Dr., Tehachapi, CA 93561, phone 661-822-8209). He offers race TH-200 transmissions with this "Turbo" of Powerflide converter fit option. I know of no kits available.
