Where do I put a gauge on a powerglide to check line pressure and what should it be?

Thanks, Cory

Cory,

Main line pressure is checked at the 1/8 pipe tap on the low servo (3 bolt cover on passenger side of transmission) pressure will only show in 1st and 2nd gear. The pressure you should have depends on the horsepower and torque along with load somewhere from 190 – 240 psi.
