READY FOR YOUR CLOSE-UP, MR. BERNSTEIN

Making the rounds in the Pomona pits were feature film representatives having their first look at what drag racing is all about. The word is that more than one studio is currently looking at the viability of a story based upon a certain driver of a big red car. One version may include a grittier look at the drags, not necessarily a romanticized look as was done in the Shirley Muldowney story, "Heart Like a Wheel."

WILKERSON WILL BE BACK

Tim Wilkerson said he'll be sporting a MOPAR body for the coming season since GM is shrinking it's support for the Pontiac brand, he also said that he's signed on with Levi, Ray and Shoup for another year. Seems that the presence of a fire-breathing fuel coupe on the floor of those stodgy computer trade shows is driving buyers to the LRS software package.

It seems that Dick Levi's booth is the cool place for computer geeks to hang when Wilk is in the house.

FLAMING JIMBO

In a freak starting line incident, Jimbo Ermolovich was helped away after Dale Creasy Jr's car was shut-off with major leakage.
