The weekend before the U.S. Nationals, Funny Car driver Ron Capps drove an R/T 2000 in the Skip Barber Formula Dodge Race Series at Mid-Ohio Raceway. He won! This is a picture of "Capt. Crazy" Bill Dunlap (car owner) going into the car at the U.S. Nationals with Gary Southern driving, trying to get the car out of reverse. That's (National Dragster editor) Phil Burgess trying to capture the picture. This picture was taken by the late Les Lovett. ALSO: Gary Southern won TAD at this event driving Dale Smart's dragster.
