LIKES THE REHER VIEW

Your interview with David Reher was great. Thoughtful questions and interesting answers. While I didn't agree with everything he said, he has a lot of insight into the sport.

SIT, BOY

I cheered when I saw the "Mad Dog" interview. I cried a while later when he "clarified" what he said in that interview. You made no mention of the follow up interview, which was as "PC" as I have ever seen anyone, let alone "Mad Dog" get. They turned "Mad Dog" in to a "puppy."

RE: THE 4 M'S

Jeff, as always you are right on the money with your opinion on this! Love Drag Racing Online and the awesome talent you have assembled.

NASCAR IS NOT THE MODEL FOR DRAG RACING

I don't want NHRA to become like NASCAR, I hate NASCAR and all their phony people! Drag racing is a hands on sport; it doesn't have to be as big as NASCAR. And these big multi-car teams are only going to hurt the sport in the long run.

OR MAYBE IT IS. . .

Three cheers - great piece! I agree. It's the raw "reality tv" that grew NASCAR - and what will fuel drag racing to the next level - as long as we all choose not to get too "PC" and too corporate.

Thanks.

FORCE IS FINE, BUT SCELZI RULES

I agree with Mr. Burk totally. But I do need to remind people that John Force is not the only guy in F/C. In fact, he's not even champ, or even second! For Review: Gary Scelzi in the OAKLEY MOPAR is THE reigning F/C Champion!

Sorry! That's the way it is, fair and square!

TIME CRUNCH?

I agree with one opinion of Burk's on Glidden's comments about his new driver. It is good to hear such a bold statement in the NHRA! However, if you look at the big picture the way Bob may be seeing it, you must understand that this team has become lost in the pursuit of juggling sponsor desires and competing for a title. Bob at 60+ years of age doesn't have time to wait for these guys to become great drivers. He will need to win now if he is going to do so at all and it appears that Mr. Schumacher is bound by Mopar to make this work out regardless of Glidden's input. I think we all know how this will play out in the short term, it is a matter of time is it not?

The question I struggle with is if another interested party that can acquire adequate sponsorship for this team without Mopar exists, and if so, can right this ship by involving veteran drivers and Bob's son Bill in the equation. This is a recipe for success rather than the current one for failure that now lives on from day to day waiting to end. The only other resolution I see is for this team to start winning, and right away!
