Pat Dakin's comments are on the money... as a small business owner, I know I am in worse shape than last year this time. I also agree with him. Please vote. As people who care, we need to use every pulpit available to us.
Drag racing should not be taken over by the oil producing countries. And all of the people we see heading that way should take up permanent residence there. If these so-called countries have no deal with the US to return lawbreakers to us, then maybe they will keep our best talent there to work as slave labor. I am pretty sure these people are not our true friends. If their intentions are good, then the Sheik will send Crazy Moe back to Detroit. If not, I have no use for him or anyone who profits from these people.

I'm happy that you are happy about NHRA'a worldwide adventure.
Still, providing thrills for the Sheiks in their oil funded wonderland has nothing to do with the American reality. If NHRA wants to remain profitable here, they need to examine US racing and do something about racing costs and spectator pricing.

Qatar is actually not part of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) but is its own country.

They are trying something different to put more butts in the seats. The old way just wasn't cutting it dollar wise. Their owners are renowned in the show business world; just look at the Monster Trucks, and of course any of their circus events. I am a sportsman racer/fan, I hope it works for them or folks will jump over to the NHRA, ADRL, the Outlaw races, Pinks, etc., or even the returned from the dead AHRA!
