Waiting for Chevy to return

Regarding Chevy and its racing involvement - I'm not sure, but I think I remember that GM was forced to curtail a lot of its racing support when the government bailed them out. If I'm remembering rightly, a lot of the reduction only took place after the contracts that were already in place for 2010 had run out, so we are now seeing the fruits of the bailout. If GM continues to recover, and do public stock offerings to pay back its obligations, we may see a gradual return to racing.

[I have to agree with the Burkster that the Corvette is an elitist car...]

Race what you sell?

Jeff, I just saw the pictures of a few Pontiac Pro Stocks testing in Florida. My question/comment is: Pontiac is out of business. How is the fan supposed to think NHRA pro stock is relevant/interesting when obsolete brands are raced? Also while I'm at it, when can we buy the cars with the huge hood scoops at the dealers?

Look out Colorado, here come the Utah guys

I read a racer’s thoughts on 1/8 mile racing, and I agree! Draggin' Main Street in the ‘70s was light to light racin' and competing at Drag City in Idaho. You have to be on your game! R.T. and dial in is tight!

As for my friends in Grand Junction, Co., call IHRA! The best thing for us small track programs! Please don't BOO us if we come over there for a Quick 16 race when we win!
