NEW M-W PINION SUPPORT ALLOWS USE OF 9.5 & 10" GEARS IN 9" FORD HOUSINGS

Because many of the new gear sets that feature a 9.5" or 10" diameter ring gear have a different mounting distance than a standard 9" Ford gear set, Mark Williams Enterprises has developed a new pinion support assembly that accommodates these gears in a 9" Ford housing. The new M-W support eliminates the need to use a spacer ring and/or multiple shims, simplifying set-ups.

The support housings are CNC machined from aircraft quality aluminum and fitted with a low friction angular contact rear bearing and a heavy-duty tapered front bearing. All M-W pinion supports are factory pre-assembled, with the bearing preload set through use of a solid, hardened preload spacer (rather than a crush sleeve or shims). This spacer is individually machined to provide the proper required preload for each assembly.

Supports are available for use with either 28-spline or 35-spline pinions and they are compatible with M-W yokes and couplers. The support housing is drilled to accommodate the 7/16" studs used in M-W thirdmember cases, however special reducer bushings can be used with 9" Ford cases that have 3/8" threads. M-W thru-bolt aluminum cases require little to no modification to clear the larger ring gear.

2010-2011 Camaro Nitrous Systems For Both V6 & V8 Applications from Zex

With the release of the 2010 Chevy Camaro, ZEX engineers have custom designed two nitrous systems specifically tailored to the Gen V Camaro engine, one for the V6 and another for the V8. The V6 kit offers a 55-100 horsepower upgrade while the V8 version adds 75-175 additional horsepower. Each kit is designed to have an easy installation, and Active Fuel Control adjusts fuel delivery with changes in bottle pressure to operate at a safe air/fuel ratio. The easy-to-install ZEX systems are available in both the classic purple or the new Blackout series with black powder coated bottle and all necessary accessories for a simple, two hour installation. With all the extra torque and horsepower, it’s not uncommon to see over one second improvements in the quarter mile.

AMSOIL Introduces New Break In Oil

New AMSOIL SAE 30 Break‐In Oil allows quick and efficient piston ring seating and protection for new and rebuilt engines. Cam lobes, lifters and rockers are protected by anti‐wear additives during the critical break‐in period when wear rates are the highest. In addition, increased film strength protects rod and main bearings from damage.

Formulated with no friction modifiers, AMSOIL Break‐In Oil allows sharp peaks on newly honed cylinder walls to partially flatten. This results in a larger surface area for the ring face to seat against, while allowing the formation of a dynamic seal that increases horsepower, compression and torque. High performance and racing engines often utilize aftermarket parts intended to increase torque and horsepower, resulting in added stress that can rupture the oil film responsible for preventing harmful metal‐to‐metal contact on rod and main bearings. AMSOIL Break‐In Oil contains high levels of zinc and phosphorus additives designed to provide the anti‐wear protection required during this critical period.
