Remember, the Burkster is a senior citizen now

Quoting your editorial: “So for the past two months I have been at a race almost every weekend.”

Life's a bitch and then you die . . . .

Or, WOTTA JOB!

Heh, heh... You and Gilman have it pretty rough, making a living (sometimes one wonders about the term "living") by going to drag races, or in Gilman's case, putting on drag races . . Which he lives for . . .

Just had to pull your string.

Back to work for both of us.

Every other day?

Hi Jeff, just a note to thank for all you do in keeping our Victory series in the spotlight. A lot of other people are starting to notice our series and ask about it. Keep up the great work. I check out DRO every other day to see what’s new out there.

Thanks again.

Well there’s your problem. You should be checking DRO EVERY day!

The ‘Warren Commission Report’ of drag racing?

RE: The disallowing of the 329 speed, "light went under the car and came back up.” Why it’s the Single Bullet Theory of timing systems. Elementary....

Check your figures, Mr. Losness

Heyo, regarding the Oct. 9, article, "It All Comes Down to Bakersfield" and the points scramble at the end of the Heritage nostalgia racing season.

In calculating the points total for funny car; only five of the six races count. One race must be thrown out and the points earned forfeited.  For Rupert and Krabill, the loss isn't too detrimental; they each DNQ'd one event this year and only lose the 10 points for showing up and attempting to qualify.

Horan will give up the 33 points earned from the March Meet and Boychuck will unfortunately suffer a 52 point reduction from his existing total. How does this all look going into Famoso next week? Pretty exciting if you want to see to ass-bustin' crews chomping on Tums and Rolaids.

With the one-race thrown out, the totals look like this:

Rupert – 370
Krabill – 344
Horan – 343
Boychuck – 274

Hope this wasn't too confusing.  I spent time communicating with Eric Lotz, with the NHRA on this very subject and unfortunately, had made a 4-point error in my calculations from SLC.

Hope to see y'all in Bakersfield!

Toni Scholz
