PRW Industries, a leading manufacturer of high performance engine components, is excited to introduce their new lightweight street/strip PQx  High Flow Billet Aluminum Electric Racing Water Pump. The new pump is designed to equalize the flow into both sides of the engine with smooth radii and transitions. The pump housing and elbows are CNC machined from high grade billet aluminum with “O”-ring seals at each connection.

The impeller is a multi-vane, axial design that efficiently pumps the water through the engine with no cavitation. The 100 watt motor draws less than nine amps on a 12 volt system with continuous flow of over 35 gallons per minute in a closed system through PRW’s extensive testing. In fact, the motor tested to over 2,700 continuous hours – well over 100,000 miles of reliable cooling performance.

An inlet fitting is supplied with each pump and seals with an “O”- ring for a secure connection. PRW offers a variety of inlet sizes and lengths to match your application. Each Polished Billet Aluminum Electric Pump is supplied with gaskets, mounting hardware and wiring connector. There is also a full line of universal water pump fittings available for the PQx  High Flow Billet Aluminum Electric Racing Water Pump or another that is set up the same. They are available in several different sizes, with NPT threads on one end and a smooth hose nipple on the other, to accommodate conventional radiator hoses. CREATING THE S10 THAT CHEVY SHOULD HAVE MADE

Fans of the pint-sized Chevy S10 pickup love their trucks, whether they are lifted, lowered, or totally custom, one thing they can all agree on is the desire for more power. Though this compact pickup was never offered with a V8 option, S10 owners have been able to make their own thanks to Trans Dapt’s S10 V8 “Swap-In-A-Box” Kit.  Now, this popular package has been made even better with the addition of applications for the 1986 - 2000 GM small block engine models.

In 1986 General Motors made a significant change to its classic Small Block Chevy V8 engines when it changed to a once-piece rear man seal.  This change in engine design also happened to coincide with the adoption of fuel injection in most of GM’s cars and trucks. These factory fuel injected motors are perfect candidates for the S10’s power upgrade as they are abundant, cheap, and efficient. Both four wheel drive and two wheel drive pickups can benefit from the all-inclusive swap kit that includes parts from Trans Dapt Performance Products, Hedman Hedders, and Hamburger’s Performance Products.

Hedman Hedders provided a 1 1/2 inch shorty header designed specifically for the S10, eliminating clearance and fitment issues while maximizing power and efficiency. Trans Dapt motor mounts and pads are also included in the kit and were developed alongside the headers to ensure proper fitment. An all new 7-quart oil pan from Hamburger’s Performance Products designed specifically for the one-piece rear man seal engines is also included in the kit and is still able to clear the S10’s front cross-member even with its increased capacity. The updated oil pan also features an integrated crankshaft scraper, windage tray and trap door baffles ensuring the new engine receives a steady flow of engine oil, even under harsh competition conditions.

Two Wheel Drive S10/V8 Swap-in-a-Box kits are available for 1986 – 2000 one-piece rear main seal Chevy small blocks with factory, angle plug, or D-port heads, while 4WD kits are available for factory heads only.  Each “Swap-In-A-Box” kit offers you the option of Hedman’s standard-duty uncoated, standard-duty ceramic coated, or ELITE heavy-duty headers, all of which feature an integrated ball-and-socket flange on the collector to provide a durable, gasket-free seal.  All mounting hardware, gaskets and installation instructions are also included with the kit.
