Just Wondering... Can you imagine how different the NHRA might be if the membership hadn't signed away their right to vote on company decisions? Back in the late sixties someone at the NHRA management recognized that members could exercise their vote and make changes at the NHRA, so the NHRA sent out proxy releases to their members and they signed their rights away.

Just Wondering... Am I the only one who is tired of hearing from crew chiefs and drivers being interviewed about their opponent in the next round say, "We don't pay much attention to who we are racing against.  We just race the racetrack." That is complete BS! Every member of a team knows whom they are racing in the next round. Tune-ups and driving procedures are adjusted for their opponent. I personally always took it as an insult to my team when something like that was said. Our driver or car isn't worth you worrying about? What the sport of drag could use is a large dose of honesty from all the players.

Just Wondering... Will points deductions for oil-downs in the nitro classes of Top Fuel and Funny Car actually determine if some teams make the Countdown, especially since the number of points deducted has increased for the 2015 season?

Just Wondering... Am I the only fan who is both thrilled and disappointed with the "parity" of Top Fuel and Funny Cars in today's NHRA? Spec engine rules not only have stifled innovation but also "leveled the playing field" to the point that often about .20 of a second separates the number-one qualifier from the 16th. These days the driver often has more to do with winning or losing the races based on RT's and driving ability than raw horsepower.
