Just Wondering ... Why is it that when a racetrack promoter sells a ton of tickets at $20 per person for a special event the next thing he or she seems to want to do is raise the ticket price for the next event?

Just Wondering ... Why do so many new track owner/operators spend hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars building or rebuilding a dragstrip then hire lowest bidders to manage and run the place and still think they are going to make a their money back?

Just Wondering ... Why some people continue to rail and never come back to a race over a couple of classes of fuel cars running 1,000 feet instead of 1320 feet? I've seen drag racing at distances from 60 feet to a half-mile and liked it all.

Just Wondering ... How is it that the IHRA affords to repave the pits at their Cordova International Raceway the first year they own it and the NHRA still hasn't found the money to pave the mostly gravel pits that their pros park on at Indianapolis Raceway Park home of the U.S. Nationals?

Just Wondering ... Could we all agree that there is so little factory stock parts remaining on a NHRA "Stock" Eliminator car or a Super Stocker and that today's Stock and Super Stock cars are nothing more than what we used to call gassers? Why not have a Stock/Super Stock combo eliminator and then, to get new racers involved in the NHRA, start a new Stock Eliminator class where the cars can't be more than 10 years old and the only modification allowed are headers, wheels and tires…period.

Just Wondering ... How was it decided that a Nostalgia Funny Car body has to be from the 1979 model year or earlier? Why not make the nostalgia Funny Car rule that the body has to be 30 years old or more? Maybe then we could broaden the audience that want to see nostalgia events and the majority of the fans wouldn't be using their social security money to buy a ticket. One thing is certain: as long as the weight, supercharger, ignition and fuel pump rules remain as they are, no body style will offer much of a performance advantage.
