Just Wondering … What do you suppose a fan or even a Fortune 500 company executive thinks about the credibility of the NHRA when the NHRA announces on national TV that the race is sold out and then when in some cases the TV camera pans and still photo images of the grandstands from the race often clearly show plenty of empty seats during eliminations of the “sold out” event?

Just Wondering … Is there any truth in the rumor that when the Pro Stock car count was way down at the end of the 2015 season NHRA seriously considered replacing Pro Stock with the NHRA Pro Mod class? If the NHRA management thought or thinks the Pro Mod class could be popular enough to replace Pro Stock why aren’t they popular enough to be featured on the NHRA’s big broadcast?

Just Wondering … Am I alone in thinking that the most recent FS1 NHRA broadcasts from Denver and Sonoma were excellent drag race TV and in my opinion equal to anything that Diamond P served up in their heyday? A couple of examples would be the pit reporters who asked some interesting questions and actually taught me something about the sport I didn’t know. I liked the variety of both the Denver and Sonoma broadcasts. Kudos to all concerned.

Just Wondering … What is the NHRA is waiting for? The most popular racing shows on American TV based on ratings are without a doubt NASCAR Cup racing and the Street Outlaws show on the History channel. Both of these shows feature easily identifiable “doorslammer” cars of all brands. On the other hand the NHRA doesn’t have a single professional class of “door cars”  that their fans can easily identify with.
