ith the conclusion of the 43rd annual Automobile Club of Southern California Finals Nov. 1-4, at historic Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, CA, another NHRA season is in the books with champions determined in all four professional classes. The new Countdown to the Championship saw Tony Schumacher repeat his last-day heroics of a year ago to win a record-setting fourth straight Top Fuel crown, Tony Pedregon secure his second Funny Car championship, Jeg Coughlin Jr. get his third Pro Stock season title and Matt Smith come through with his first Pro Stock Motorcycle championship.

Schumacher, Coughlin and Smith iced their championship cake with the event win, too, while Robert Hight got the job done in Funny Car. And of course the racers tell the whole story through quotes taken from NHRA and team press releases.
