TAD - Bill Reichert in an injected nitro car took the win and title over Duane Shields setting Low ET for the class with a 5.191/275.22 pass while Shields clicked his engine off on his 13.445/87.32 pass.

Super Gas Vette class - In an all ’63 ‘Vette, all California final round Steve Parsons, Ridgecrest, clocked a 9.906 on a 9.900 dial to defeat Randy Balough from Newbury Park, 9.916 on a 9.900 dial.

 

 

Super Comp - Shawn Langdon of Mira Loma, CA, in his Mullis-Chevy powered digger got the best of Gary Stinnett of Emporia, KS, driving an Undercover/Chevy-powered car using a 8.924 to best Stinett’s 8.946. Click here for NHRA Quotes from Pomona.  

Stock Eliminator - In a relatively close final round Jody Lang of Auburn, WA, drove an ‘81 Malibu N/SA to a 12.180 on a 12.38 dial to beat Toby Lang also from Auburn, WA, driving a '69 Chevelle G/SA. Lang ran in the right lane to a breakout 11.617 on a 11.65 dial. Was there “team orders” in play here? (hehehehe)

Super Stock Eliminator - Super Stock star Dan Fletcher of Churchville, NY, drove his '69 Camaro SS/AS to a 9.361 on a 9.35 dial to beat Michael Lacono from Wading River, NY, who drove his '87 Camaro, GT/DA to a 9.937 breakout on his 9.94 dial.  

Comp - Tom Mettler from Bakersfield, CA, drove his '01 Dakota Pro Stock Truck to a 7.506 lap on an 8.01 index to get the win in Comp Eliminator at Pomona over Dean Carter’s always strong Uyehara-Chevy, which recorded a 6.953 on a 7.44 dial.  Mettler was number 1 qualifier in Comp.
