The final round was a bit anticlimactic as Payne turned on the red light, but Tindle didn’t see it and kept his foot down, running a 6.028/239.57.
“I knew it was just matter of time before we’d win one,” Tindle said, “and I’m so glad I was able to do it here. Chuck Ford (crew chief) has won here four times in a row now, with four different drivers, and I really wanted to keep his streak going.”
