T’N’T Series

The Test ‘N ‘Tune class filled in the gaps of the class offerings, with 34 bikes making passes all day. Derrick Holloway lapped his 7.0 Pro Mod and young L.E. Tonglet (shown) broke in his Pro Stock Suzuki with dad Gary and brother G.T.

Houma’s “Fast” Johnnie Boutwell’s PCP racing led a group of five Outlaw Pro Street bikes to form their own class. But “Fast” Johnnie was slow at the tree in the final and gave a massive holeshot victory to Covington’s Steve Brindle. Reaction times were .077 to .322 in favor of Brindle, while Boutwell’s 7.502 at 189.26 mph outpaced Brindle’s 7.691 at 169.40. It was a MiRock throwback, with Boutwell on the old Mac McAdams/Doug Witt Nightrider and Brindle on Robbie Hunnicutt’s old Superman bike.
