Super Street

San Antonio’s Albert Lee (shown) took his second straight Hurricane Alley win, doing the deed this time in the Super Street exhibition class. Lee and final round opponent Jonathan Schexnider left the line within .002 of each other, but Albert’s JP racing/Team APE GSXR1000 turbo outran Schexnider’s ‘Busa 8.451 to 8.603 for the lion’s share of the $1500 purse.

Super Bike

Opelousa’s Kelly Christ took the Brock's Performance Super Bike win on his ‘Busa. Christ caught a break when Houston’s Paul Bob threw a rod while winning the semi. Christ, who clocked 8.745 at 156.99 in the semi, cruised unopposed in the final.

Super Stock
The Brock's Performance Super Stock 9.50 index class showcased ZX12s and ‘14s, GSXRs and Hayabusas, but the final was all ZX10s. Metarie’s Michael Mahne’s ZX10 runs consistent 9.30s, so short shifting at the right points was his road to the Super Stock final. But Mahne had motor problems and had to coast to a 14.955, giving Ventress’s Gary Sicard the win with a 9.713.
