Following Austin on the qualifying list was Terry Capp’s 6.064 ET at 242.63 MPH charge in his Roland Leong-tuned Firebird. He was followed by Krabill’s “Pedaler” with a 6.138 ET at 233.94 in the #3 slot.
With his 6.165 ET at 225.38 MPH event promoter Lee Paul Jennings, driving the family’s “Code Red” Challenger, sat in the fourth position.
Leah Pruett drove her Les Leggett-tuned Mustang to the 5th spot running a solid 6.186 at 230.99 MPH.
Arizona-based cars filled out the rest of the qualified field with Sean Dale piloting the “Shakey Situation” Dodge Charger in 6th at a 6.281 and 238.04.
Mike Savage in the Speed Sport Cuda sat in 7th spot at 6.326 and Mike Adams (shown) with famed AA/FC nitro tuner Donnie Couch calling the shots eased to a 6.347 to close out the field.
