Bourquin, of Canyon Country, Calif., put the wraps on the Top Sportsman title when his ’98 Dodge Daytona defeated the 2005 Grand Am of Gary Ross in the final round with a 5.005 on a 4.98 dial (0.029 RT) against a 4.558 on a 4.52 dial (0.032 RT) for Ross.

Widmann, who resides in Garberville, Calif., became the first winner of the Sportsman Motorcycle class at the JEGS Pacific SPORTSnationals when he rode his Kawasaki to a win against Tom Medlin in the final round. Widmann dialed a 5.65 and coupled a .034 reaction time and a 5.681 E.T. for the win. Medlin’s .076 R.T. was his undoing as he ran 5.422 on a 5.42 dial. Twenty-two bikes took part in this event.
