Lately it’s been all Craig Gustafson and his feared Chevy Nova in Hot Street, as he set both ends of the record at the last contest in Fontana. John and George Mitchell have been extremely tough with their new Ford Mustang in this class too. Gustafson laid down another fine 8.403/163.79 for both the quickest and fastest of the class.


In the final though it was an upset  win for Tony Ancian (above) and his bright multi-colored Camaro as he put a monster holeshot on Gustafson (.051 RT to .118) and it was all over with Ancian’s 8.512 at 151 mph to Gustafson’s better but losing 8.491/162.98.
