They had a separate class for the nitrous Pro Mods at the event and from the first round of qualifying until the winner’s circle celebration the nitrous class belonged to Marc Hayes (left) and his ‘03 Cavalier. It was a dominating performance. He qualified number one with a 6.258/227.00 pass -- the best numbers in the class all day. During the first two rounds of eliminations, nobody could touch him.
The final, pitting Hayes against Christy Perkinson’s (right) ‘08 Pontiac GXP, was something of a pedal-fest, with Hayes coming out on top.
