While it’s only mid season, car owner Ken Seeger and driver Conrad Scarry are already deserving “Comeback Racer of the Year” award. Scarry, who won the season opening Fun Ford event at Orlando this year, destroyed his car the next week at the NMRA opener at Bradenton. Since then the team has thrashed to build a whole new car and made Joliet qualifying second in NMRA Pro Outlaw with a 6.76 at 217.60 with their big block twin turbo car before losing to Dan Millen.

Troy Coughlin picked up his first Pro Street win of the year at Route 66 with a win over Chris Rini’s Dodge Stratus. Coughlin used a slight holeshot and a 6.332 at 222.26 to get by Rini’s 6.347 at 218.30 and establish himself as a contender for the title going into the next event at zMAX Dragway in Charlotte August 6-9.
