Pro Mod eliminations saw local racer Radford cut through the field without much of a challenge. He disposed of Wayne Rider’s Chevy Cameo in the first round running a full second faster than the classic pickup. He then trailered Canadian Dan Vogt in the second round with a 6.22 lap to Vogt’s troubled 9.546 effort.

On the other side of the ladder Harper and his sleek black Viper were also crushing their opponents. Harper easily got around the 2007 GTO of Frank Tamez with a 6.239 to Tamez’s shut-off 8.502/103 in the first round and then sent Perry Thyr packing in the semifinals with a 6.227/220.10 to Thyr’s 6.917/162.51.

In the finals of Pro Mod Harper cut a .026 light to Radford’s tardy .135 but the Viper immediately had traction issues and Radford marched to the win with a 7.072 that easily beat Harper’s coasting 19+ second effort.
