Four Lanes Wide at zMAX!

For the first time since the late 1970s, four jet cars ran down a dragstrip. Concord, NC zMAX Dragway was the site of the 2009 version. According to the National Mustang Series announcer, Jason Baffrey, there’s over 24,000 horsepower on the starting line.

Once again, the Keystone NMRA Ford Nationals and the Edelbrock NMCA Hot Rod and Muscle Car Nationals met up in a combined event format at the inaugural Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals at the brand new, four-lane super-dragstrip, zMax Dragway in Charlotte, NC.

Possibly one of the best stories of the weekend is the trifecta that occurred in ACT Factory Stock, Eibach Springs Pure Street, and 5.0 Mustang Magazine Real Street, as JPC-backed vehicles qualified number one and were victorious in all three classes.
