The conditions at Atco for the Comp racers were phenomenal with many a racer getting a CIC hit during eliminations. The pattern of hitting the index went all the way to the finals with former Lucas World champ Frank Aragona taking a permanent hit on his F/ED index as he defeated the Vinnie Barone-owned and Kevin Robb-driven D/DA in a quick final. Aragona blew the index out with a -0.647 under 8.113 to defeat Robb’s nearly as quick -0.607 under 7.313.
 

Closing in on a D1 championship was 2009 Super Gas NED champ Matt Schurman in his Chevy Beretta. In the finals of Super Gas, Schurman met his closest competitor and former Indy winner, Iggie Boicesco, and helped his cause taking out the Cecil County divisional winner as Boicesco left too early in his Corvette roadster giving Schurman the win and the points lead.
