This race was the first time all three of the R2B2 Racing Pro Mod teams made it out of the opening round on the same day. 

R2B2 owner, Roger Burgess, drove his Camaro to a quarterfinal finish. He took advantage of Kenny Lang's hard luck run in the first round, running a 6.053-second pass at 242.71 mph to Lang's 11.420 at 76.58 mph.

Next Burgess drew eventual race winner Personett. Burgess gave it a strong go, crossing the line in 6.004 seconds at 242.71 mph. However, Personett turned in the lowest ET of the round -- a 5.884 at 254.52.

The R2B2 Firebird driven by Raymond Commisso also managed a quarterfinal finish in Las Vegas. Commisso beat Danny Rowe in the first round, but was ousted in the second round by teammate Melanie Troxel.
