Las Vegan Dana Westover in his very quick Toyota Supra cranked out the best times during the qualifying at 8.568, 162.76 mph with this very fast turbo Toyota. It was Toyota VS Mustang in the final as Mark Washington who seems to win in just anything he drives was in the John Fields Mustang this weekend. In a perfect side by side leave off the starting line Mark ran the quickest pas off the weekend at an 8.545, 159.85 mph to narrowly defeat Westover’s game 8.624, 159.91 mph

SUPER STREET (8.60 index)

Steve Faller in his Flattops ‘55 from Lake Havasu, Arizona, was the #1 qualifier at 8.601 and he also advanced to the final in the class against one of the best bracket racers in So Cal, Doug Crumlich and his black Corvette from Irvine, Calif. A perfect RT for Crumlich was just not enough as Faller had a great leave too (.005 RT) with Faller winning this battle 8.667 to a very close 8.672.

QUICK STREET (9.60 index)

Las Vegas’s own Mike Hadrath and his trusty green Vega once again led the qualifying at 9.612 and he was not quite done there. He advanced to the final round with 68-year-old Don McDavitt, who restores vintage cars in Lake Havasu, and his immaculate Chevelle. Don left first and it was all over as he ran a fine 9.661 to Mike’s close but losing 9.668

MEAN STREET (10.60 index)

Mike Nordahl actually got beat at this racetrack -- that’s unheard of! He did set the pace during qualifying at 10.601 and also made it to the final round, but San Clemente, Calif., veteran racer Hank Oliver and his Chevy Nova got around the Machine in the final 10.665 to a very close 10.702
