The fact that this was the ADRL’s second visit to HRP this year, as well as the sweltering heat, may have contributed to a smaller than usual crowd.

The ADRL fans who attended last weekends event at Houston Raceway Park were treated to seeing two sets of Eliminations for the price of one when the rained-out finals from the series’ Dragpalooza VI was completed on Friday, with the Inaugural Texas Drags run on Saturday, July 24.

Some of the fans must have thought they were experiencing deja vu when three American Drag Racing League pro teams and drivers won final rounds twice at the same race. Pro Nitrous driver Rickie Smith, Extreme 10.5 standout Bill Glidden and Extreme Pro Stock’s John Montecalvo all made it a two-win weekend.
