The ADRL’s Pro Extreme drivers and cars are to drag racing what mixed martial arts fighters are to the boxing game. The cars and drivers in the ADRL’s Pro Extreme class are like MMA fighters of loud, tough, competitive, unconventional and damned entertaining. And like an MMA fight, sometimes the underdog gets in a lick that puts the favorite on his back and the underdog on the top of the world. So it was at the ADRL event held Aug. 6-7 at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, Ill.
