There were plenty of amazing performances during qualifying and eliminations of the Pro Extreme class. KH Al-Thani was by far the quickest and fastest car in the class but when you have Frank Manzo and Tim and Kim Richards tuning you car that isn’t a surprise result. But what is apparent is that Sheikh Al-Thani is rapidly becoming one of the best drivers in the class.

Many of the Pro Extreme drivers are regularly cutting .00 lights but the Sheikh, who has become one of the best “leavers” on tour, had one of the worst “bad beats” as they say in poker ever witnessed in the semifinals of the St. Louis race against eventual winner Alex Hossler. He had a tremendous .001 light and ran a 3.837/203.95 to lose to Hossler’s winning 3.752/203.68.

The other astound pass in the class is credited to the Bahrain 1 team driver Josh Hernandez. Hernandez’s ride is tuned by Jim Oddy and son Dave Oddy. The team who had a dominant performance at the last ADRL event struggled mightily at St. Louis but still managed to qualify 13th with a 3.810 ET at just 167.36!!!!
