Long time team Rapisarda driver, Allan Dobson was in joyous spirits after taking a first round win over the highly favored points leader, Darren Morgan in a 4.962 to 5.303 duel. Dobbo was joined by two other drivers, Terry Sainty and Mark Mariani in a triple Team Rapisarda effort on the bracket. His luck was to run out in the semis though as he fell to eventual winner, Phil Read when both caught fire off from third track but a fading 5.679 was never going to catch a winning 4.914.
