Over 350 predominantly West Coast-based sportsman racers came to the JEGS Pacific SPORTSnationals at Auto Club Dragway in Fontana, Calif., competing in six eliminator categories from Stock to the quick Top Dragsters plus Super Street, Super Gas and Super Comp.

When it was all over and done fans saw record-setting and historic performances by the stars of sportsman racing including former NHRA pro racer Jeg Coughlin Jr. making it to the final rounds in both Super Comp and Super Gas.

In Comp Eliminator qualifying, Brian Fitzpatrick’s H/Dragster from Lake Havasu City, Ariz., held the No. 1 spot and Low ET of the meet with a final round lap of 6.280 seconds (-0.690 under the index).
