After some how losing the inaugural Funny Bike Cup series to Christian Jäger last season, Rikard Gustafsson was back for more despite the cutback in the events the Funny Bikes are to contest this season. With a win in Hungary one thing left for the Swedish standout to tick off the list, Gustafsson made no mistakes this time around with a low qualifying 6.916 that threatened to stand for bike low ET until the nitro bikes dialed in on the Sunday, and took the eight bike eliminator with victory over a no-showing Finn Markku Poikajärvi; the latter’s Kawasaki ZZR reporting in broken before the final.
