Number-one qualifier Jeff Kyle (shown) defeated number-two qualifier Jeff Wallace.  Wallace took the starting line advantage, but his 5.05 couldn’t hold off Kyle’s better 4.986 at 153.75.

Number-four qualifier Kenny Anderson (shown) defeated C.H. Vickers in a close race.  Anderson took the starting line advantage .060 to .068 and held on with an 8.548 to Vickers’ better 8.546.

Number seven qualifier David Harvey (shown) upset number one qualifier Dennis Copeland in a double fouling and breakout final. Copeland fouled first at -.015 to Harvey’s -.003 to give it away.  Harvey won with a good 9.52 to Copeland’s too quick 9.496.
