Another face that has been away from Santa Pod for far too long was that of Des Taylor. Taylor’s current ride, a Duster that we think is powered by a blown something from the bowtie stable (why else would Des have daubed a Chevrolet moniker across the windshield and name the car Mopar Murder), decided enough was enough after switching the nitrous on and ripping out the rear gears on launch.

One of the truly iconic bikes of the '70s and early '80s, the twin Weslake Hobbit and John Hobbs came out to play. Although Saturday’s activities were restricted to a burnout followed by a shutoff thanks to a fluid leak, Sunday produced a mid eight and hopefully staving off any thoughts of retiring the bike to a museum anytime soon.
