In Stock Eliminator, the Lang family from Washington met in the finals. Jody Lang, from Puyallup, drove his ’81 Malibu Wagon against Toby Lang, from Auburn, and his ’69 Chevelle. Jody had the faster reaction time and added another check in the win column to go along with his other victories this year, including at the Kragen O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Winternationals in Pomona and the SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals in Las Vegas in Super Stock where Toby also took home the win in Stock Eliminator.

Two contenders for the Division 7 Super Comp championship faced off over the weekend in the finals. Justin Morgan, Concord, Calif., had the advantage off the line and held on for the win with 8.911 at 166.99 mph over Aaron Kinard, San Marcos, Calif and his pass of 8.927 at 165.64 mph. Following this trip to the finals, Kinard stands in first place in points followed by Morgan in third.
     
In a battle of the ‘60s Corvettes, Super Gas finals saw Jason Brink and his ’63 ride take on Ed DeStaute and his ’62 Corvette. Brink, Benicia, Calif., got out to an early lead and a pass of 9.911 seconds at 153.02 mph to DeStaute’s 9.932 second, 144.44 mph run. Brink’s approximate seven foot victory marks his first win of the year.

Brad Wagner of Henderson, Nev., now drives Mike Edwards’ old Pro Stock car in the Top Sportsman class.

In Sportsman Motorcycle presented by Harley Davidson, Dennis Sacco, N. Las Vegas, Nev., made his second trip to the finals this year. Currently in second place in points, Sacco faced off against Pete Miclette, Garberville, Calif. Miclette, took home the win at Sonoma and his first of the season after Sacco got off to too early of a start.
