Even with the world's fastest drifting track in the background, and monster trucks across the track, The Strip decided to have jet cars, motocross, and fireworks, not to mention PSCA Pro Street and 10.5 Extreme cars.  When the track also added in the HP wicked series ET Brackets… well, now you have a Back2School Bash to exceed all expectations.

While the drifters were doing their thing in the pit area on a course that had competitors entering the first turn in excess of 100 miles an hour, the drag strip played host to a race between legendary monster trucks Bigfoot and Snake Bite, a race that was handily won by the sasquatch truck. Next up were the jet cars, and when the fire and smoke had cleared, Daren Bay’s “Incinerator” Jet Car turned in the fastest of the night on the drag strip during the Back 2 School Bash thrill show, stopping the clocks at 5.49 sec./291.32 mph.

With the crowd fired up from the jets and monsters, the PSCA took to the field. The first round of Pro Street featured # 2 qualifier Mike Maggio’s Camaro lined up against his son, Wade Maggio.  After ’John Force’ burnouts by both parties, Mike took home the family honors for this weekend, blowing past his son’s Corvette.
