In the Sportsman class, son Chaysse Trimp (far lane) drove his ’69 Opel into a final round match-up with Nevada’s Jon Irving and his ’02 Camaro.  Chaysse, representing Sacramento Raceway, went 12.034 at 115.16 to Irving ’s red-light foul start.  Both drivers will join Ryan Smith and Aaron Pine in advancing to the NHRA Summit Racing Series National Championship held during the Auto Club NHRA Finals next month in Pomona.

Ryan Smith, (near lane) driving a ’63 Falcon from Chandler, Arizona, won on a double breakout final round race with Jeff LaSalle, Santa Rosa, California driving a ’67 Coronet for the Pro title.  Smith clocked in at 10.070 at 134.23 mph on his 10.08 dial-in while LaSalle went 10.406 on a 10.42 dial-in.

In the Motorcycle final, Aaron Pine (near lane), from La Mirada, California, took the trophy riding his ’09 Kawasaki against TJ Crocker of Henderson, Nevada and his ’05 Suzuki. Both riders left early with red-light starts with Pine running it out to a 9.429 second 148.49 mph lap and Crocker at 9.811, 136.90.
